The Victorian Transport Plan

A better transport network

The Victorian Transport Plan is now underway. Thirty-eight new trains are on order for Melbourne's metropolitan train network, the first of which will arrive on the network later this year. They will provide extra capacity for more than 30,000 passengers in peak times.

The new Wendouree Station is taking shape and becoming a landmark feature in Ballarat's West.

Once complete, the Laverton Rail Upgrade will enable additional services to be introduced on the Werribee line that will start and finish at Laverton Station. The upgrade will also provide infrastructure to improve the reliability of both the Werribee and V/Line services.

As transport projects commence, information sessions will be held for local communities. Find out more about local information sessions.

The Victorian Transport Plan is ambitious and achievable, and action starts now.
